Presidential candidate serial number 03 Ganjar Pranowo has carried out a series of campaign activities in the Central Java region. Today, Ganjar took a break and returned to his hometown in Tawangmangu, Karanganyar, Central Java.
“Today is the Christmas holiday, I want to wish those who celebrate a Merry Christmas. We have a Christmas holiday, we rest here,” said Ganjar at the location, Monday (25/12/2023).
detikcom Ganjar Pranowo invited him to visit his birthplace. Ganjar was seen showing the corner of his house to the yard to the media crew present.
Cool air, light rain with views of the mountains decorated the atmosphere of the PDI Perjuangan presidential candidate’s house. Ganjar’s house itself is dominated by brown and white.
“I said I was born here, I was born in this house until around the 5th grade of elementary school (Primary School) but before that this was a rented house. Then the parents saved to buy a house, they moved from here maybe around 200 meters,” he said .
“Bought a house there, then we grew up there, gardening there, grew up there until fifth grade, then moved briefly to Karanganyar, then moved to Kutoarjo, that’s the journey,” he continued.
Ganjar remembers his childhood when he lived in that house. In the past, said Ganjar, many of his peers played with him. One thing he remembers was his peers who always gave him pocket money when he was at school.
“I used to be on the bench when I was little. My father was a policeman, my mother sold at the market, so every day because I never brought pocket money, my mother liked to give it to me. That was pocket money, I gave it almost every day. And later on he became my brother. he-he-he,” he recalled.
Ganjar said that apart from liking sports, he also likes gardening. He planted everything from apple trees, oranges to bananas first. In fact, he sells the harvest to neighboring neighbors.
“Because there used to be a garden behind the house, it was planted according to the season. Planted corn, planted cassava, and when it was harvested, the neighbors would harvest, here they would take it. Harvest oranges, harvest apples, lots of apples too. If it’s bananas every day, then it’s bananas. “There’s a lot of things, ‘I bought the bananas.’
It is known that Ganjar previously visited KH Sarkosi Subki, who is the head of the Mansyaul Huda Islamic Boarding School, Heuleut Village, Kadipaten District, Majalengka, West Java.
Ganjar then carried out a series of campaign activities in Surakarta, Central Java. Starting from inaugurating the winning post, to blusukan at Notoharjo Market, Surakarta.
Ganjar also attended the declaration of the Nusantara Pencak Silat Network (JPSN) which officially supports the Ganjar-Mahfud pair in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Next, he led a rally for the Surakarta City PDI Perjuangan Task Force and cadres at Taman Sunan Jogo Kali and carried out a series of other campaign activities.
