Unknown man hits woman to the ground: police are looking for witnesses

A man attacked his victim on the way to the Hallerstrasse subway station. The police suspect attempted rape.
Hamburg. A woman was on her way to the early Saturday morning Hallerstrasse subway stationwhen she was attacked from behind on Hallerstrasse around 4:40 a.m.
Only through her massive resistance was she able to put the stranger to flight. The victim was injured in the face during the attack. From home, the woman contacted rescue workers and the police, who are now looking for witnesses and information about the incident Hamburg-Harvestude asks.

The unknown man attacked the woman on Hallerstrasse at number 89 and covered her mouth. He kicked and punched his victim until the woman fell to the ground. Here he is said to have touched her inappropriately. The police assume an attempted sexual offense.
The perpetrator is described as follows:
- around 50 years old
- European appearance
- short gray, slightly wavy hair
- wearing a black jacket and dark, possibly gray trousers
The LKA for Sexual Offenses has taken over the investigation and is looking for witnesses who made suspicious observations in the early hours of the morning, particularly in the area of the tennis facility on Hallerstrasse. Those affected can call 040 4286-56789.
