As if a children’s dream had come true, not long before the candle lighting, a fabulous snowfall began in Dunakesz. Anyone who wanted to, could take the Bethlehem peace flame home, writes dunakeszipost.hu.
Zsófia Kundlya, municipal commissioner responsible for public relations, and Krisztián Pethő, municipal representative, the hosts of the program series, drew attention to the fact that the last time there was this much snow on this day was 2 decades ago.
After the program for the children attending the Játszóház Tagóvoda, Father Károly Szádoczky shared his festive thoughts, then with him Deputy Mayor Dávid Sipos and Representative József Szabó lit the fourth candle of the wreath.
With the help of the scouts, the representative brings the Bethlehem peace flame to the city every year.
After the program, everyone could take the flame home with the help of a candle holder. Those who missed it, don’t be discouraged, everyone can take home this special flame from the churches on Sunday, so that they can light the last candle in their homes.
In addition to the flame, other things were distributed on the square: Márton Juhos, the municipal commissioner responsible for housing development, also gave the children chocolate candy, so in addition to the snow, the children got another surprise on this special day.
