Berlin . The Central Council of Jews has expressed disappointment at how Muslims in German mosques have dealt with the terrorist attacks on Israel. In North Rhine-Westphalia there were two events after October 7th, in a synagogue and a mosque, said the President of the Central Council, Josef Schuster, to the Düsseldorf “Rheinische Post” (online). “But it is also a fact that the imams didn’t mention anything about it in the Friday prayers, there was mostly no condemnation of Hamas and Israel’s right to exist was not discussed. We are very disappointed.” There is very little exchange at the institutional level.
