The number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip since the start of the Israeli war has risen to 20,424, while the number of wounded has reached 54,36, according to what the Ministry of Health in the Strip announced on Sunday, while a hospital official said that the occupation army carries out field executions on a daily basis.
Ministry of Health spokesman Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra said that 166 Palestinians were martyred in Gaza during the past 24 hours, and 384 others were injured.
Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that dozens of martyrs and wounded were killed today in an Israeli bombing on the area of Al-Rafi’i School and the Namaa Association in Jabalia Al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip.
Occupation aircraft also bombed neighborhoods in Gaza City and Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, leaving more martyrs and wounded.
For his part, Gaza Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal told Al Jazeera that they have lost 40 members of their crews since the start of the aggression, noting that their work is now primitive due to the absence of heavy equipment and machinery.
The spokesman stated that Jabalia is being subjected to “real genocide,” and that the occupation forces are targeting the Civil Defense to prevent them from retrieving survivors from the destroyed buildings.
He added that the Civil Defense monitored many operations of running over citizens with occupation vehicles in the Tal al-Hawa area in Gaza City. He also spoke about the presence of many bodies of martyrs that had decomposed and were inaccessible.
Field execution
Meanwhile, the Emergency Director of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, Khalil Al-Dakran, told Al Jazeera that the occupation army carries out field executions on a daily basis throughout the Gaza Strip.
This comes after the government media office in Gaza called for an international investigation into field executions that the Israeli army was accused of carrying out in the Strip, confirming that at least 137 executions had been recorded since the start of the war.
Earlier, the spokesman for the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said that the Israeli army executed dozens of Palestinians in the streets during its ground operations in Jabalia and other areas in the northern Gaza Strip.
On the other hand, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) renewed its call on the International Committee of the Red Cross to take action to uncover the fate of hundreds of Palestinians who were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces from Gaza.
Several pictures were published proving that Israeli forces arrested civilians from shelter centers in the Gaza Strip, stripped them of their clothes, and piled them inhumanely into trucks, then took them to unknown places.
103 journalists were martyred
Meanwhile, more journalists were martyred by the bombing of the occupation forces, as the government media office in Gaza announced today that the number of journalist martyrs since the beginning of the war had risen to 103.
The office said in a statement, “This rise came after the rise of fellow journalist Muhammad Younis Al-Zaytouniyah, the sound engineer for the Palestinian Al-Rai Radio, and the journalist Muhammad Abdel Khaleq Al-Af, the photographer for the local Al-Rai Agency, at the hands of Israeli treachery.”
The ongoing Israeli war since October 7 has left massive destruction in the Gaza Strip, with estimates of the destruction of more than two-thirds of the buildings in the northern Strip, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, according to what international organizations have monitored.
