The entire HL-SPORTS and LOBECA team wishes you a Merry Christmas.

Every year again… Christmas time, stressful time. And this time the “last minute gift givers” have even worse stress because the shops are closed today on Christmas Eve. So I hope that everyone got their presents under the tree in time – and if necessary, an annual subscription to a streaming or TV provider is always an option.
Something crazy”?
So now we’ve done it again and got through the year well. HL-SPORTS started its eleventh season with a lot of commitment and a lot of potential. That means over 4,000 days of sports news from and for the region. We are slowly taking off our children’s shoes and moving into “adolescence”. We are stable and well cared for, so we can’t assume that we will do anything completely crazy. Where…? No, it was fun.
HL-SPORTS remains true to itself
It’s so much fun to work with the athletes and we can say with a clear voice that we have remained true to each other for over ten years. As with almost every team, we had departures, but also new arrivals. With two students and one pupil, we have lowered our average age and are therefore ready for the new year full of energy. I could now say something about each individual editor, but I’ll save that for my book, should I want to write one at some point or even have time for it. Every single employee is very important and dear to me. I am very grateful for our HL-SPORTS family.
New record!
But how did things go in 2023. As always, I’m not stingy with numbers. Record! It’s always funny when we report it every year, but it’s reality. HL-SPORTS will reach over 3.8 million visitors on December 31st. This is an increase of around 300,000 users compared to the previous year. WOW! Of course we know what this has to do with and are continuing to expand these areas. There is also growth on our social media channels and we are also seeing a positive trend there. As editor-in-chief, I am very proud of this development.
Like a team
But what I find even nicer is the family atmosphere at HL-SPORTS and the collaboration with those we report on. First of all, I would like to say a big thank you to our team, because I was able to rely on them again this year in difficult situations. If one fails, another is there to take over as best he can. We are like a team that moves forward from the spot with a solution-oriented approach. Very important: I also include our connected ones Fotoagentur LOBECA. Thank you very much!
My club
Next, there are the ones we report on. Sometimes it’s not easy for our editors and sometimes it’s super easy. The protagonists understand more and more that HL-SPORTS offers them the platform they need. A win-win situation for everyone who wants it. Thank you and good luck for the coming year.
Our partners are important
And then there are the people and companies who have recognized exactly what reach HL-SPORTS offers them. Our advertising partners have made it possible for us to not have to use a paywall for over ten years (which no one would want), all invoices and fees can be paid and they themselves are the focus of the region. There are more and more long-term partnerships that have grown and we mutually benefit from each other. A very big thank you to our partners at this point. And we hope that even more companies take advantage of exactly what we have to offer.
Thanks!
There is speed, topicality and sensible reporting. And that brings me to the fourth part of my thanks. This applies to our readers and followers on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or wherever you reach us.
With that, I wish you all a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and, above all, stay healthy. Nothing can be taken for granted…
