Pop star Cher is famous for her powerful vocals. Not one of her songs has become a world hit. Media “Daily Star” reveals that, in parallel with her bright career, the singer has tried to live with a serious health problem all her life.
Superstar reveals she has dyslexia.
Dyslexia is a syndrome where the reading and/or writing ability of its owner is at a lower level than would be expected for his intellectual level. Dyslexia is attributed to people whose reading problems cannot be explained by a lack of intelligence, sensory problems or inadequate training.
As the singer revealed, in her childhood she experienced a lot about it and often cried because of it.
“I’m dyslexic, so I didn’t do well at school,” says Cher. “One time I came home with this horrible maths mark sheet and I was crying. I said, mom, mom, what am I doing, I can’t do math, and she said, honey, when you’re older, you’ll have someone to do it for you .”
Cher, 77, was only diagnosed with dyslexia when she was an adult. In her autobiography, The First Time, Cher wrote, “I couldn’t read fast enough to do all my homework. Almost everything I learned I had to learn by listening.”
