The accusation against the actor was filed in the Los Angeles court
The complaint comes from the Los Angeles court which risks putting Hollywood star Vin Diesel, the absolute protagonist of the Fast & Furious saga, in serious difficulty. A former assistant of his, Asta Jonasson, reported the 56-year-old actor for a sexual assault that allegedly occurred in 2010, while Mark Vincent Sinclair III, this is the star’s real name, was engaged in filming of Fast & Furious 5 in Georgia.

The complaint was filed in the Los Angeles court yesterday, December 21, 2023, and the case immediately exploded. Asta Jonasson said she was hired in 2010 as Vin Diesel’s personal assistant by One Race Films, the production company founded by the actor and producer. The events date back about ten days after the young woman was hired and took place in Vin Diesel’s hotel room in Atlanta.
There, according to the complaint made by Asta Jonasson, the young woman would have remained alone with Vin Diesel after the conclusion of an event. Her job was to escort the actor out of the hotel and avoid photographers. Left alone, however, the actor allegedly pounced on her and began touching her breasts and kissing her.
Despite Asta Jonasson’s attempts to free himself, the 56-year-old allegedly lifted her skirt and tried to remove her underwear. The young woman said she managed to free herself from the actor’s grip and ran towards the bathroom. Diesel, however, would have reached her and, after pinning her against a wall, would have masturbated leaning against her.

A few hours after the attack, Jonasson said in the complaint, the young woman was fired with a phone call from Samantha Vincent, the actor’s sister and president of One Race Films, without any reason.
13 years in silence

After remaining silent for 13 years, due to the fear of retaliation given Vin Diesel’s power in Hollywood and her status as an immigrant without a Green card in the United States. Then, thanks to the citizenship he obtained and the Speak Out Act introduced in California which allows victims of sexual violence to report alleged crimes until 2009, Jonasson decided to take courage and denounce the actor, his sister and One Race Films for sexual assault, wrongful termination and hostile work environment.
