A report by expert Karl Hengstberger, which the “Kurier” reported on Friday, now shows how ex-bank boss Martin Pucher pumped millions of euros into Florianihof Betriebs GmbH and SV-Mattersburg Gastronomiebetriebs GmbH (SVM Gastro).
According to the “Kurier” report, Pucher’s cash handovers to the managing director of Florianihof Betriebs GmbH began in 2010 because the latter was making losses. From October 2013 to December 2016, 1.9 million euros are said to have been handed over in cash – as an increase in sales from the bank. The Florianihof may have even paid 231,000 euros in sales tax for this.
“In addition, from November 2013 at the latest, Florianihof dishonestly obtained credit funds totaling 3.07 million euros, as the liabilities on the working capital account increased by this amount,” the report states. A repayment was not possible from October 2013 under normal economic conditions because the sales revenue generated was not sufficient.
Florianihof was already insolvent at the end of 2013. Nevertheless, from 2009 to 2017, around 979,000 euros went to the SV Mattersburg football club as sponsorship. In addition, between 2010 and 2015, around 1.25 million euros are said to have flowed from the bank to the SVM via a fictitious Florianihof sponsorship account.
SVM Gastro was also illegally financed from the bank’s money: from May 2011 to July 2016, 563,000 euros were used to increase sales. As of April 2016, there were 2.03 million euros in loan funds for SVM Gastro.
When asked by the APA, the Economic and Corruption Public Prosecutor’s Office (WKStA) said that there were several partial reports in the procedural complex. No details were given regarding the content. On Tuesday of this week it became known that the WKStA had filed the first charges against three people – including Pucher. The investigation is still ongoing.
