A big meeting was organized after the big events that took place in Turkish football recently. Clubs Union Foundation met with Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak and TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi at the Turkish Football Federation Facilities in Riva today.
The meeting started at 16.00 and lasted approximately 2 hours.
After the meeting, Clubs Association President Ali Koç, TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi and Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak made statements.
ALİ KOÇ: “WE EVALUATED THE BASIC PROBLEMS OF FOOTBALL AND THE INSTITUTION OF REFEREEING”
Clubs Union President Ali Koç: We wanted to hold a meeting with our Ministry, Clubs Union and TFF. Thanks to him, he devoted his time to us not even a week later. He is someone who comes from among us and is familiar with the problems. He also follows football closely. We evaluated in detail what has happened in recent weeks, the basic problems of football and the refereeing institution. We have a lot of work to do. It would not be an exaggeration to say that we got the result of the meeting that if there is desire and will, we can solve the basic problems hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder. Hopefully, with short, medium and long-term plans, we can work together to bring Turkish football to the point where it will no longer talk about these problems, where the problems are completely minimized and do not harm our brand value.

Today, I would like to thank our Clubs Union Foundation and our presidents. Everyone is a member of this precious family. It is extremely important that all stakeholders of this valuable family have a sincere and constructive dialogue. The proper functioning of this mechanism is our top priority. If there is a success, we will all embrace it together, and the same will happen in case of failure. Our National Team will take to the field to cheer us all on at EURO 2024. We need to prepare our national team to be successful together. Our football players playing in our clubs need to be very successful so that our National Team can also be successful. MINISTER BAK: IT WAS A COMPREHENSIVE MEETING! WE TALKED ABOUT THE PROBLEMS
Minister Bak: It was a comprehensive meeting regarding the problems of Turkish football with our esteemed Clubs Union Foundation President, club presidents, TFF’s esteemed president and board members. We visited the Clubs Association last week and discussed the problems together there. We brought together TFF Management and Clubs Association again. We made evaluations about the solutions to these problems. Opinions were put forward. At this point, we would like to thank our club presidents who contributed.
