Beeper Mini: New Software Allows Android Users to Access iMessage with Mac

Launched the Beeper Mini instant messaging application New updateAndroid phone users are allowed to message via iMessage again, provided they have a Mac computer, according to the website. Reddit.

The new software solution depends on Android phone users registering their accounts on Mac devices, and then linking them to the Beeper Mini and Beeper Cloud applications, and thus Apple will not be able to disable them.

This solution comes as an alternative to a previous method that Beeper tried to use to circumvent Apple, as it relied on its own servers for Mac devices, to allow its users to continue using iMessage on Android phones, but Apple was able to block these servers and disable user accounts.

The problem with the Beeper Mini service began with Apple since its launch at the beginning of this December, with the aim of providing the opportunity for Android users to correspond with iPhone users via iMessage, which is limited to Apple devices only.

As soon as Beeper Mini was launched on Android phones, Apple took the initiative to disable the service’s programming method, which relied on using servers to push notifications to iPhones, to communicate with iMessage servers, allowing them to pass through the service protocol, and not through traditional SMS text messages.

However, Beeper, the company that developed the service, devised another method in which it relied on linking its users’ accounts to their personal accounts on the Apple ID service, but this solution did not work for long, as Apple was able to disable the service for more than 60% of Beeper Mini and Beeper Cloud users.

Before Beeper launched its latest software methods to circumvent Apple’s restrictions on the iMessage service, a group of members of the US Congress sent a letter to the US Departments of Justice and Commerce, demanding the opening of an expanded investigation into Apple’s ban on Beeper applications, accusing the US company of following monopolistic practices in the messaging market.

They pointed out that services such as Beeper Mini will enrich competition in the application market, and thus this will be reflected in the strong competition in the smartphone market.
