Asta Jonasson, the former assistant of American actor Vin Diesel, star of the “Fast and Furious” films, accused him of sexually assaulting her, and claimed that she was fired from her job immediately after the action movie star forced himself on her in 2010.
The American New York Daily News reported that Johnson detailed her allegations against Diesel, 56, in a lawsuit filed on Thursday in Los Angeles.
She was hired by Diesel’s One Race production company to work on location in Atlanta, where the movie “Fast Five” was produced, according to court documents.
Jonasson, who was a recent film school graduate at the time, was tasked with things like organizing Diesel’s accompaniment at parties. The incident occurred after one of these parties in September 2010 in a hotel suite, indicating that she tried to escape from him after he tried to sexually assault her.
Hours after the incident, Samantha Vincent – Diesel’s sister and president of One Race – allegedly called Johnson and fired her. And she only worked with them for two weeks.
Johnson, who was under a non-disclosure agreement at the time, said she was finally able to come forward thanks to the Speak Up Act. The legislation, which took effect in December 2022, prohibits the enforcement of a non-disclosure agreement in cases of sexual assault and harassment.
Diesel representatives did not respond to a request for comment.
