Glockenbach Children’s Table Donates 100,000 Euros to Support Needy Students in Munich: City Council Approves Grant

The Kindertafel Glockenbach association is donating 100,000 euros so that the Department of Education and Sport can support needy students in the state capital of Munich. The full assembly of the city council approved the grant, which is to flow to the RBS in 2023, at its meeting yesterday. The Glockenbach children’s table has been supporting needy target groups for years through donations to the social affairs department.
The Glockenbach children’s table is a non-profit association with the aim of improving the living situation of needy children and financing measures such as breakfast, lunch, homework support, education in sports and culture as well as leisure activities through schools and kindergartens. The Department for Education and Sport can therefore finance support offers in the context of the school – for example school materials, or provide other support in the school context.
“It is shocking how many children in Munich live on the poverty line. “We therefore want to use our donation to ensure that children in need receive help, are not excluded and can take part in life in the expensive state capital of Munich,” says Ulrich Ludwig, board member of Kindertafel Glockenbach eV
City school councilor Florian Kraus: “I am very pleased that Kindertafel Glockenbach eV is committed to helping needy children in Munich and that the Department of Education and Sport can use this generous donation to ensure even more equal opportunities in Munich.”
