The athlete had an affair with one of the team’s coaches, and the couple finally had to go their separate ways.
Love in the workplace is a fairly common thing that everyone has heard of. However, the romance between Austrian skier Franziska Gritsch and national team coach Florian Stengg meant that the pair had to end.

Because of their relationship, the national association decided to fire the coach. However, Gritsch did not like that, and she ended her cooperation with the union. He will prepare for the race individually with a private team, which will also include Stengg.
Finally, the skier also commented on the whole situation on her profile on the Instagram social network. “Following your heart sometimes means taking new paths, leaving your comfort zone and taking bold steps. Due to the private situation between me and coach Florian Steng, my cooperation with the union could not continue. From now on, I will operate outside the structures of the union,” she wrote in the status.
At the end, Gritsch thanked everyone who supported her during this period. “I especially want to thank my family, friends and sponsors who have supported me over the years. The same thanks goes to my fans, who walk with me on my journey,” concluded the skier.
