Presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan while attending a dialogue dialogue at Bina Bangsa University in a series of campaign agendas in Serang, Banten, Thursday (21/12/2023).
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Campaign funds for the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar ‘AMIN’ campaign in 2024 presidential election only around IDR 1 billion. Responding to this, Anies acknowledged the lack of funds he had, and he even admitted that he had been experiencing financial difficulties since last year.
“We’ve been experiencing a logistics famine for a year now, so it’s nothing new, it’s just that the numbers are only visible now because they were reported,” Anies told reporters after carrying out campaign activities in Serang, Banten, Thursday (21/12/2023).
Anies said that the steps to become a presidential candidate from the Coalition for Change were indeed an all-in-one effort. He said this was a struggle.
“So this is a real struggle. Because self-reliance, self-work, self-reliance, the word ‘self-help’ is literally everywhere. But that makes us proud. Why are we proud? Because we are proud of the struggle of many people who feel they have that spirit of change,” ” he said.
Anies said that with the lack of campaign funds, he invited the public to move together to encourage him to run for state leadership with his potential.
“This will make us, Gus Imin and I, increasingly connected to the aspirations of the people because the driving force is the common people who want change, not other parties who may be economically very large. This actually becomes moral capital for us, and I want to invite everyone “Those who want change, let’s move together to encourage that change,” he said.
