Miguel Ángel Idígoras, Legendary Spanish TV Reporter, Retires After 34 Years at Public Corporation TVE

The legendary Spanish Television reporter in the Basque Country, Miguel Ángel Idígoras, says goodbye to the house after more than 34 years as a Public Corporation worker.

This is what he announced on his social networks after doing a report on the Basque regional disconnection of La 1 News about the feast of Saint Thomas in San Sebastian:

“I spend my last days as a TVE journalist doing the same chronicles as when I started more than 34 years ago. I can’t think of a more dignified way.”

Idígoras, as he himself highlights in his biography on X (formerly Twitter), was a correspondent in Rabat and London before becoming a reporter in the Basque Country. Recently, he published the compilation book ‘Crónicas de round trip’ where he collects his professional experience in Morocco and the United Kingdom, always with Euskadi as the central axis.
