In the “Hiwar” program, Kaby Latif hosts the Lebanese singer and director, the artist Yuri Morakadi, to talk about his participation in the “Shining Stars of Hope” Christmas concert, which will be held on December 21 at the Casino du Liban, in which 120 artists will participate. The proceeds from this concert go to the benefit of Lebanese artists and stars who are facing financial difficulties, and it is organized by the “Takreem” Foundation, headed by the journalist and producer Ricardo Karam. The stars are accompanied on stage by the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Maestro Andre Al-Hajj.
Night of December 21… melodies, unity, love and help
Artist Yuri Marakadi considered that the concert is an act of gratitude and acknowledgment of the great “forgotten” artists in Lebanon, especially sinceHe supports artists in Lebanon and the sector in general. He stated that this return to participating in events despite his retirement from art for a while constitutes an exception, considering it a contribution to humanity. He added that standing by those who considered some of them his professors and the great artists who were abandoned by their state and did not receive the necessary appreciation is a duty and a translation of the blatant absence of the Lebanese state.

Gratitude and recognition of the great “forgotten” artists in Lebanon
Yuri Morakadi stated that this occasion has an original idea by producer and media personality Ricardo Karam, the sole goal of which is to recognize and bring together artists to shed light on their reality, which has long been marginalized, and in an effort to express to them the role they played in building the careers of those who came after them. Therefore, he saw that performing songs in the English language was a very simple gesture in the sea of self-denial and generosity that characterized these honored artists.
The end of a stage and a new beginning
Lebanese artist Yuri Marakadi indicated that his period of absence from the artistic scene in general and his recent retirement was an important stage in his life through which he gained a return to himself, especially since it came at a time when the Corona pandemic struck the entire world. He added that this stone created a space for him, an outlet, and a pause with himself, through which he reconstructed his relationship with himself and with his future steps, which will soon see the light through a new project whose features he prefers to reveal immediately upon completion.
