FC Porto agreed to release Gabriel Veron in January and the winger will play on loan at Cruzeiro, confirmed the zerozero this Wednesday morning, after the news released by the Goal No brazil.
Veron arrived at Dragão in the summer of 2022, in a transfer valued at 10.25 million euros, but made just six starting appearances (21 appearances) and scored one goal against Anadia, in the Portuguese Cup. For the championship he entered Sérgio Conceição’s initial choices twice.
The physical problems did not leave the ex-Palmeiras player and even during his last vacation he suffered a muscle problem. At FC Porto he had a relapse and missed the entire first half of the current campaign: he played 45 minutes for the B team in October.
At the same time, competition for the position has increased considerably. In addition to Pepê and Galeno, usual starters, Conceição also has Francisco Conceição, Gonçalo Borges and Iván Jaime on the attacking wings, and even André Franco can be used in these areas.
As is easy to understand, Veron would have little or no chance of playing for FC Porto. The loan is free of immediate costs for Cruzeiro, but miners have a purchase option.
