The Colmar (Haut-Rhin) Alsatian group Graines Voltz is plowing its furrow in the Angevin horticultural basin. The seed distributor has indeed concluded a new acquisition in Maine-et-Loire with the acquisition of the Baudonnière company. Passed down for two generations, this family business offers a complete range of flower and vegetable plants for decorative gardens, vegetable gardens, terraces and interiors. To do this, it relies on around fifteen employees and 33,000 square meters of production space, including 27,000 square meters of greenhouses, mainly made of glass.

Previously owned by Denis Baudonnière, the son of the founder, and his wife Annie, the SME has worked since 1994 with Graines Voltz as a producer of young plants, a client which represented up to 20% of its activity. According to the group, this takeover “does not generate additional turnover but it makes it possible to secure and optimize production between our different sites and to add a new range of aromatic products. »
