The Russians are trying to oust Ukrainian troops from the left bank of the Dnieper, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are repelling the assaults of the invaders. Natalya Gumenyuk, speaker of the joint coordination press center of the Southern Defense Forces, announced this during the telethon.
In the evening report of the General Staff reportedthat the enemy has not abandoned his intention to dislodge Ukrainian units from the left bank of the Dnieper.
Over the course of 24 hours, the Russian army carried out 29 unsuccessful assault operations, was repulsed and suffered significant losses, while the Ukrainian units steadfastly held the line, held their positions and inflicted fire on the enemy, the General Staff reported.
Gumenyuk emphasized that 29 repelled assaults are “a very powerful result,” since under the control of Ukrainian troops on the left bank there is now a strip of several kilometers, and the Russians have “extra-great potential” there.
“Nevertheless, we see and demonstrate to society a large number [российской] equipment burned in this area. This is the result of, among other things, powerful counter-battery support,” Gumenyuk said.
She emphasized that the Russians are bringing up reserves from the “Z companies” to the left bank, giving preference to “meat assaults.” The occupiers save equipment by sending Russians to carry out assaults “absolutely on foot,” Gumenyuk said.
