Switching from a lamp cinema projector with high electricity consumption and expensive cyclical lamp changes to a laser projector will significantly reduce the cost of electricity and planned maintenance of the cinema. The equipment of the latest generation technology is energy efficient, more environmentally friendly and easier to use.
The new laser cinema projector delivers sharp, color-rich, consistent cinema image quality. In order to improve the quality of the displayed image, a new cinema screen with micro-perforations specially developed for showing 4K films was also installed, improving the sound quality of the sound systems located behind the screen.
The total investment in the cinema’s Great Hall projector, screen replacement and other technical improvements is EUR 134,900 (without VAT).
Continuing investments in energy efficiency, this autumn SIA Riga houses have also signed a contract for lighting as a full service service with SIA RCG Lighthouse. The service includes the replacement of all 1,000 light bulbs in the cinema to energy-efficient LED bulbs, which will significantly reduce the cinema’s electricity consumption and result in annual savings of 7,800 euros.
