Motorola Set to Launch New 5G Phone to Compete with Mid-Range Samsung Phones

Al-Independent/- Some websites specialized in technology affairs reported that Motorola is preparing to launch a new phone that will compete with mid-range Samsung phones in terms of technology and prices.

According to the latest leaks, the new phone will come as an upgraded version of the Moto G Power phones that appeared last April, and will work with 5G cellular networks.

Expected specifications

The device is supposed to come with a body with dimensions of (176.3/76.4/8.5) mm, and to be equipped with a 6.7-inch IPS LCD screen, with a resolution of (2400/1080) pixels, a frequency of 120 Hz, and a brightness rate of approximately 405 cd/m.

The device will operate on the new “Android-14” system, 8 GB of random access memory, and 256 GB of internal memory that can be expanded via microSDXC chips.

As for its primary camera, it will be dual-lens, with a 50-megapixel main lens, and the other lens will be dedicated to wide photography.

The phone will have two SIM ports, a fingerprint scanner mounted on the side frame of the body, a USB Type-C port, and a 5,000 mAh battery that works with fast charging technologies.

Fierce competition

It seems that Motorola is strongly seeking to revive its phones in the mid-range category, as the company previously competed strongly in this category, but has declined in recent years in favor of other companies such as Samsung and Xiaomi.

If the expected specifications of the new phone are correct, they will make it a strong competitor to Samsung phones in the mid-range category, especially in terms of the large screen, dual camera, and large battery.

It is expected that the new phone will be launched in the market during the first quarter of 2024, and its price will be announced at a later time.
