The duo stars in Netflix’s upcoming action comedy, Back in Action. This is the actress’s first film. Charlie’s Angels Since Annie, released in 2014, which also starred Jamie Foxx. The two stars also starred in Sunday hell in 1999.
Filming suffered a major blow when the 56-year-old actor was hospitalized with a mysterious medical emergency towards the end of filming in April this year. However, Cameron Diaz categorically denies subsequent rumors that she walked away from the sets again because Jamie Foxx was “crazy” on set.
“I really hate everything that was said about our filming at the time,” the 51-year-old star said in the latest episode of the podcast Lipstick on the Rim by Molly Sims. You just want to scream at the top of your lungs: “What are you talking about?” Jamie is the cheerleader of the entire team. Everyone loves him. We have so much fun on set with him, and he’s just a professional in every way.”
Responding to the rumors, Cameron Diaz claimed the opposite was true and that she “had a lot of fun” working with her former colleague. “Jamie is the best. I love this guy so much. He’s such a special person and he’s so talented, so much fun,” she said. The hiccups that occurred throughout filming are the sort of natural things that happen, but nothing was delayed except, obviously, towards the end. And it’s not my place to talk about it.”
She added that Jamie Foxx is doing much better now and assures her that they both know the truth about their working relationship. “When I see and hear people trying to put another person down like that… [Jamie est] so classy. He said, “No. Leave them [parler]”. And yet, it really made me angry,” added Cameron Diaz.
