Michał Szpak’s New Album: A Personal and Sensual Journey to Ecstasy

Michał Szpak has been a breath of fresh air ever since he appeared on the Polish music scene. Colorful, uncompromising, shocking with words and outfits. It’s no wonder that he advertises his latest album with words about… the bedroom.

Michał Szpak worked on the new album for 4 years. “The most personal, stripped of falsehood, dense, flashy, sad, full of ecstasy, musically juicy, avant-garde, lonely” – this is how the creator himself described the nature of the album.

In a conversation with Odeta, Moro admitted that this material is a kind of cleansing for him, but at the same time he appeals to Poles to listen to it in the bedroom. Why?

“I think it is a very sensual material, it promotes… tectonic movements (…) You can have great fun with it,” said Michał Szpak with a slight hint of subtext.

The artist also confessed that creating this album allowed him to free himself from unpleasant emotions that accompanied him for a long time.

“I am very happy that I am giving up a part of myself that is actually the past and writing down the emotional state that has accompanied me for a few years. At the same moment I put a full stop and say ‘I’m moving on’. There is no longer any sadness, or any state, because I have already finished this process,” he said in the “Saturday with Odeta” program.
