Paul Pogba Court Decision: Postponement Request Granted, New Hearing Set for February 15

Juventus and Paul Pogba (30 years old) will still have to wait to know the final decision of the court. The Juventus midfielder’s lawyers requested the postponement and the player should be scheduled for next February 15 at the most

Paul Pogba and his lawyers have made an important decision for the future. According to information from the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’, Paul Pogba’s lawyers requested the postponement of the judgment and the trial until February 15 at the latest concerning the question linked to the positive testosterone test observed during the match between Udinese and Juventus on August 20.

Request accepted by the anti-doping tribunal and there will therefore be no hearing before the TNA on January 18 as initially planned, but a date which will be fixed later, thus extending the deadlines for the debates. On December 7, the anti-doping prosecutor requested a 4-year disqualification and his salary which remains pending. At the moment, Pogba cannot even train at Continassa during this 4-year period. We must now wait for a new date so that the hearing can take place and that is when the former Manchester United player will be given his sanction, while a request for a 4-year disqualification has already been filed. However, this sanction could be reduced by half if he manages to demonstrate his non-intentionality. The suspension could even last a few months, if the consumption of this substance took place “outside competition and is not linked to his level of performance”.
