This is what the Minister of Education, Ángel Hernándezwho, when highlighting the institution’s actions, highlighted that a saving of RD$ 5 billion has been achieved in these texts, which belong to the Dominican State.
“From now on, the country has – texts – for today and for as long as the Ministry wants. They are books from the Dominican State. You don’t have to pay a cent to anyone, except for new editions,” the official said.
When asked about errors in textbooks, reported in previous editions, Hernández He stated that the flaws were corrected.
“It’s error-free! There were two books with errors and they are duly corrected, not just the ones that are there… You can verify it. You can do it whenever you want,” responded the Minister of Education, visibly upset.
Hernández spoke about what he considers to have been the recent achievements of the institution he represents during a meeting with representatives of information companies, in Santiago de los Caballeroswhere he also referred to other topics, such as the competition and appointments of teachers.
