Family Murdered in Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra: Gruesome Discovery in Rotting Bodies

One family in Musi Banyuasin (Muba), South Sumatra (Sumsel), was found dead rotting in his house. Police said one family was suspected of being a murder victim.

Reported detikSumbagsel, Wednesday (20/12/2023), the family found dead consisted of a 70 year old grandmother, a 40 year old father, and two children, a 12 year old boy and a 5 year old girl. Meanwhile, the victim’s wife is a PMI abroad.

Acting Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Muba Police, Inspector Dedy Kurniawan, suspects that one of the families was a murder victim. When found, the victim’s body had rotted.

“It looks like he’s been dead for more than two days, it’s all rotten. The temporary suspicion is that (murder victim),” said Dedy to detikSumbselWednesday (20/12).

Dedy said that the bodies of one family were initially found by residents who were suspicious of a foul smell coming from the victim’s house in. Residents who were curious then checked the source of the smell. After checking, it turned out that the bodies of a family were found in a tragic death condition covered in wounds.

“Yes, that’s right, there were 4 bodies found. Yes, one family. They were found there, at around 14.00 WIB. Yes, the condition was like that (terrible),” he said.
