– I am totally against his style of play. It’s Russian roulette. He played beautifully, everyone applauded. It’s a mistake, it’s a goal. I don’t take that risk, I will never take it. The way his team plays, the opponent will always set a trap to steal the ball. This has happened a lot and they have conceded goals or suffered threats. He did it and it worked, it’s beautiful. Did you make a mistake? He lost the game – he added.

At 49 years old and a professional coach since 2009, Diniz is experiencing the most successful season of his career, marked by the conquests of the Conmebol Libertadores and the Campeonato Carioca.
