10 years after Diomedes’ worst dance

Next December 22 will mark 10 years since the death of Diomedes Díaz, the greatest artist that Vallenata music has ever produced.

Prior to the celebration of the first decade without El Cacique de la Junta, close people have been sharing transcendental events that preceded his death.

This Wednesday, December 20, the announcer and connoisseur of Vallenato folklore, Jaime Pérez Parodi, also the eternal presenter of Diomedes, recalled what was the last presentation of the Vallenato idol.

“This… this is the worst dance I have ever sung, but I promise you that you will never see me like this again,” Pérez wrote on his social network Twitter, referring to the words of his group leader that December 20, 2013 to 2:20 am after leaving his presentation at the Trucupey nightclub in Barranquilla.
