It features seven creations, as well as the popular Christmas carol “Who’s This Child”. The story was created to remind children and also adults what the true essence of Christmas is. For today’s children, this holiday is the big holiday of gifts. Children so badly want another plastic toy from an advertisement, which will soon lie sadly forgotten on the shelf after the holidays. Is Christmas more than a gift list? It is, that’s why friends come to the pajama party at Rasa’s, Richard’s and godmother’s. Christmas is approaching and the only thing on children’s minds is gifts. The godmother, hearing the children’s conversations, offers to read the most beautiful Christmas story about the birth of Jesus Christ, which reveals why gifts are given on this holiday and what they should be.

The film “My friend – a non-serious person” made Jānis Streiču a master of cinema, because he was able to make a film in which every moviegoer, in one way or another, was able to see both dramatic and comic references to his life. In the series “Film archeology”, the team will return to the Riga film studio together with the ever-smiling Jānis Paukštello, the serious director Jānis Streič and his reliable assistant Ilzi Līci. Characters: costume designer Skaidra Deksne, cinematographer Miks Zvirbulis, publicist Āriks Hānbergs and the then film actors – Raimonds Auškāps, Kārlis Pumpuriņš, Jānis Liepiņš and Valdis Liepiņš. The question is open: was Arvīds Lasmanis a relative of Rainas Antiņas, the third son of the father of Latvian fairy tales, or was he a hidden “alter ego” of Jānis Streičs himself? Immediately after that, at 21.35, the comic melodrama “My friend – a serious person” (1975, directed by Jānis Streičs). Cast: Jānis Paukštello, Galina Maculeviča, Jānis and Valdis Liepiņi, Dzidra Ritenberga, Aleksej Mihailov, Lilita Bērziņa, Āvalds Valters, Eduards Pāvuls, Olģerts Dunkers, Voldemārs Lobiņš, Raimonds Auškāps, Boleslavs Ružs, Irina Thomsone, etc.
