Today, Wednesday, the Bahrain National Cycling Team begins its journey in the Arab Road Cycling Championship with the participation of Bahraini cyclist Ahmed Madan in the individual time trial race. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host the championship in the city of Riyadh in cooperation with the Arab Federation and under the supervision of the International Cycling Union (UCI) in the period from 15 to December 23, this Arab sports gathering will witness the participation of 406 male and female players representing 12 countries: Bahrain, the Emirates, Algeria, Iraq, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria, Oman, Qatar, Libya, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, the host country. The championship competitions include races in the general individual, team time trial and individual time trial races for men, youth, juniors, young women and women, and while the total distances of the races reach 730 kilometers, according to the competition schedule and after the reception and team parade held on the first day, The competitions are scheduled to begin next Sunday, with the 26-kilometre team time trial race for young women and the 32-kilometre women’s time trial race in the morning, and the 52-kilometre time trial team race for the youth category in the afternoon.
