The Short Narrative Film Competition award was won by Ashes, directed by Suleiman Al-Khalili, for Best Omani Film, and artist Maimouna Al-Maamari won the Best Actor Award for her role in the film, and the child Hamoud Al-Ghawi won the Best Child Actor Award for a role in the film My Grandfather, directed by Jalaluddin Ahmed and Delilah. Diriyah, and the film Taa by director Muhammad Al-Darushi won the Ain Platform Award, along with the film Burning Details by director Yaqoub Al-Khanjari, and the film Azzal by director Fatima Al-Hinai won the Children’s Jury Award for Best Film.
International Feature Film Awards
In international feature films, the film Theere is No Tomorrow by Iranian director Haifa Nassarian won the Best International Narrative Film award, as did My Mother Hand by Iraqi director Kardina Hemn, and the film The Bus by director Malek Majdoub from Tunisia won the Jury Prize, and the child Nassima Atef won. She received a jury certificate for her role in Asif, directed by Yacine Ait Faqir from Morocco, and Samina, directed by Ahmed Barkia from Tunisia, received a jury certificate of mention.
Documentary Film Competition Awards
As for the documentary film competition: The film “Amna” by director Abdullah Al-Habashi from Yemen won the Best International Documentary Film Award, the film “What a Waste of Waste” by director Medhat Saleh from Egypt won the Best Screenplay Award, the film “Lost Rights” by director Muhammad Musali won the Jury Prize, and the film “From Rocks to Gold” by director Zainab Younis from Pakistan received an encouraging certificate from the jury.

In his speech, the President of the Omani Cinema Society, Dr. Hamid Al Ameri, stressed the distinction of the second edition of the festival in terms of jury members, participants and participating works.
The festival aims to enable Omani women and children to participate, and to give a civilized image of Omani openness to women and children’s issues, in addition to attracting Omani women working in cinema, working to establish children’s cinema, and discovering talents, in addition to introducing the place as a cinematic, touristic, visual and artistic destination.
The number of films participating in the festival reached about 39 films from 14 countries around the world, including 31 feature films and 8 documentaries.
The feature films competed for the Best International Feature Film Award, the Best Omani Feature Film Award, the Best Screenplay Award, and the Special Jury Award.
As for the documentary films, they competed for the Best International Documentary Film Award, the Best Omani Documentary Film Award, the Best Screenplay Award and the Special Jury Award.
Festival jury
The feature film jury was composed of: director Nujoom Al-Ghanem from the Emirates, director Aisha Al-Rifai from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and artist Nour Al-Huda Al-Ghamariyah from the Sultanate of Oman. As for the documentary film jury, its members included: Dr. Azza Al-Qassabiya and Laura Al-Siyabiyah from the Sultanate of Oman, and director Marwa El-Sharqawi from Egypt.
