Singer Madonna revealed that she spent 48 hours in an induced coma in June, when she was hospitalized at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for a bacterial infection.
The performer said during a show in Brooklyn, New York, that she had an induced coma after being admitted to an intensive care unit for treatment.
“I was in an induced coma for 48 hours.“Madonna is heard saying in a video shared on social networks by a fan.
“When I first regained consciousness, I saw my six amazing children (Lourdes, Rocco, David, Mercy, Estere and Stella) sitting around me. By the way, I almost had to die to have all my kids in one room,” the pop star joked.
Then, the artist thanked one of her friends, Shavawn (who was in the audience), because she “saved her life” after she fainted.
“There are some very important people in the room tonight who were with me in the hospital. There is a very important woman who dragged me to the hospital. I don’t even remember; I passed out on my bathroom floor and woke up in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit).”
Guy Oseary, talent manager and producer of the “Material Girl” and “Vogue” singer, had announced on his Instagram that “full recovery expected” after Madonna was hospitalized in June.
The celebrity was in rehearsals for her current tour, which was scheduled to begin in Canada in July before being postponed, something for which Madonna felt guilty.
“I didn’t want to disappoint anyone who had bought tickets for my tour. I also didn’t want to let down the people who have worked tirelessly with me over the past few months to create my show. “I hate to disappoint anyone,” he declared in early July, along with a promise to focus on his health and return to the stage.
