Brazilian Football News: Coaches Appointed for 2024, Transfers, and More

Some soap operas had endings this Tuesday in Brazilian football negotiations. Cruzeiro and Santos agreed on their coaches for 2024: Raposa will have Argentine Nicolás Larcarmón in his first job in the country, while Peixe arranged for the return of Fábio Carille, who was in Japan.

Still in the field of coaches, Eduardo Coudet renews his contract with Internacional. As for rival Grêmio, the agreement with Renato Gaúcho is “in the details” of being signed.

Outside the scope of coaches, Palmeiras won the dispute against four other clubs for striker Bruno Rodrigues, Athletico announced a Paraguayan duo, Flamengo debated the future of Everton Ribeiro, and Corinthians attempted another millionaire sale of a jewel.

Raposa is also close to confirming 31-year-old striker Rafa Silva. Serie B champion with the club in 2022, he agreed to a termination with Jeonbuk Motors, from South Korea. All that’s left is the signature to seal the deal.

Santos made an official announcement to confirm the arrival of coach Fábio Carille. At 50 years old, the coach, who has been at V-Varen Nagasaki, in Japan, since 2022, returns to Peixe for his second spell at the club: previously, he was between September 2021 and February 2022. The contract will only be signed in 2024.

São Paulo close to renewing with Lucas

São Paulo is close to renewing striker Lucas, who returned to Tricolor in August and played an important role in winning the Copa do Brasil. He made 19 appearances for the club this season, scoring three goals. The new contract will be for three years and should be announced by Christmas.
