Marvel Studios Fires “Ant-Man” and “Loki” Star Jonathan Majors Following Guilty Verdict for Assault and Harassment

Marvel Studios and Walt Disney fired this Monday Jonathan Majors, actor of films such as “Ant-Man: Ant-Man” and the series “Loki”, hours after a court found him guilty of assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend Grace. Jabbari.

Marvel and Disney immediately removed the “Creed III” star from all upcoming projects following the verdict, a person close to the studios told the AP, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Before his arrest, Majors had played the villain Kang the Conqueror and was going to star in ‘Avengers: Kang Dynasty’, scheduled for release in May 2026.

Likewise, the actor, who participated in films such as “The Last Black Man in San Francisco”, “Devotion” and “5 Bloods”, played the lead role in “Magazine Dreams”, whose theatrical release was planned for this December. However, Disney-owned distributor Searchlight Pictures removed the film from its release schedule in October.

According to the verdict, the Hollywood star was found responsible for two charges, including third-degree assault and second-degree harassment, both misdemeanors. The date for the reading of the sentence was set for February 6. The sentence could be increased to up to one year in prison.

In March of this year, Majors was arrested on charges of strangulation, assault and harassment, following a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman. The victim, who reported the attack to the police, “suffered minor injuries to the head and neck and was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.” However, the actor was released the same day.
