Israeli Attack on Gaza: Death Toll Rises to 19,667 and 52,586 Injured – Palestinian Ministry of Health

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced today, Tuesday, that the death toll from the Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip had risen to 19,667 dead and 52,586 injured, since the start of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” on October 7th.

She added in a statement that, “During the past hours, the Israeli army forces committed 17 horrific massacres in all areas of the Gaza Strip, and 214 martyrs and 300 injuries reached hospitals during the past hours, and a large number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads.”

She confirmed that, “Israeli army forces are carrying out executions and genocide in northern Gaza, after liquidating health services there, destroying hospitals and putting them out of service.”

It warned that “the liquidation of the health presence in northern Gaza aims to displace 800,000 people, and deprive thousands of wounded, pregnant women, children, and chronic patients of health services.”

In its statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Health expressed its “astonishment at the world’s silence as it saw the massacres committed by the Israeli army forces in northern Gaza, after the liquidation of health services in front of the world’s ears and eyes.”

She stressed that, “The American administration’s insistence on continuing the aggression against Gaza in the United Nations institutions and its legitimization of the aggression, and its participation in the killing of children, women, medical personnel, and journalists, expresses the fall of the set of moral values ​​and human rights principles claimed by the international community.”

She pointed out that, “The Israeli army arrests 10 health personnel from Al Awda Hospital, bringing the number of health personnel arrested by the Israeli army to 99 health personnel, headed by the directors of hospitals in northern Gaza, Dr. Muhammad Abu Salmiya, Dr. Ahmed Al-Kahlot, and Dr. Ahmed.” Muhanna, in harsh conditions, in violation of their human dignity, and interrogation under torture and starvation.”

She pointed out that, “Since the start of the aggression, only 413 wounded have left, and this is less than 1% of the number of casualties only, which makes the mechanism used contribute to killing the wounded,” calling on international parties to “provide an urgent and effective mechanism to save the lives of the wounded.”

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that its priority is to urgently discharge 5,000 wounded for treatment abroad, before their lives are lost.

She also pointed out that, “The health and humanitarian situation in shelter centers and places cannot be tolerated or described, as a result of the rapid and widespread spread of epidemics, infectious diseases, malnutrition and dehydration.”

In this context, she noted that “health teams detected 355,000 cases of skin and infectious diseases.”

The Israeli army has continued its military operations in the Gaza Strip, since last October 7, when the Palestinian Hamas movement announced the start of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood,” in which thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza at Israel, and its forces stormed Israeli towns adjacent to the Strip, causing the death of about 1,200. Israeli, in addition to the capture of about 250 others.

The battles included a truce that lasted for 7 days, which was reached through Egyptian, Qatari, and American mediation, during which prisoners, including women and children, were exchanged and agreed upon quantities of aid were brought into the Gaza Strip, before military operations were renewed, on the first of this December.

So far, the Israeli attack on Gaza has resulted in more than 19,000 deaths, the majority of whom are children and women, in addition to more than 50,000 injured.
