The management report of the company’s financial report mentions that the main impact on the results of the “Distribution Network” in the nine months of 2023 was a decrease in the price of purchased electricity by 44.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2022, and an increase in distribution service tariffs from January 1, 2023 .in July.
At the same time, a decrease of 5% or 241 gigawatt hours (GWh) in the amount of distributed electricity was recorded in nine months. Tariff changes have contributed to the stabilization of the company’s financial indicators, providing the revenues necessary for the implementation of economic activity.
The pace of development of microgeneration, compared to the year 2022, when there was a distinct, unprecedented rapid increase in solar panels, has stabilized, but is still relatively high.
The total production capacity of microgenerators connected to the distribution system has reached 140 megawatts (MW) and the number of microgenerators connected to the distribution network has exceeded 16,000. The total production capacity of generators connected to the distribution system has increased by 100 MW since the beginning of the year and has reached 372 MW.
At the same time, on July 1 this year, the new electricity distribution system service tariffs entered into force. The management report says that in the long term, the whole society will benefit, as the electricity network will gradually become more efficient and its maintenance costs will decrease, as well as the costs of creating new connections.
Compared to a year ago, electricity consumption fell in the nine months of this year in all customer segments – in trade by 7.4%, in industry – by 5.4%, in the segment of other users – by 5.3%, in the non-industrial segment by 4.9%, consumption by residents – by 4.7% and consumption in agriculture fell by 3.1%.
