NEW YORK — A Staten Island family experienced moments of terror when suspected thieves entered their home in the early hours of Monday morning to rob them at gunpoint, New York City Police said.
During the robbery, the suspects beat a 5-year-old girl and a woman.
It all happened around 12:43 am on Monday, when the four alleged thieves entered the home, kicking the door, located on Livingston Ave. and Queen St., the uniformed officer said. Once inside, three of them pulled out firearms in the presence of the victims, a 33-year-old woman, a 5-year-old girl, a 4-year-old boy and a 54-year-old man.
The suspects demanded money and jewelry and used firearms to hit the face of the girl and woman who were taken to a hospital for treatment after being left with cuts and bleeding.
