China Leads Global Car Market with Record Sales in November

China sells nearly three million new cars a month. In November, the total car market exceeded eight million cars, of which 2.9 million were sold in China. Thus, China occupies more than a third of the world market. Sales in China rose by 25.5 percent in the last month of the fall, while car sales in the United States, South America, Western Europe and Eastern Europe also rose.

According to “LMC Automotive” data, the volume of car sales in China was 2.9 million units in November, which is a record high. Also, for the first time, the sale of new electric cars in the country exceeded the mark of one million units and reached 1.03 million units. This has happened largely thanks to the discounts offered by both the car manufacturers themselves and the dealers.

On the other hand, the world’s second largest automobile market, the United States, sold 1.227 million new cars in November, which is 8.9 percent more than a year earlier. In Western Europe, 1.105 million units were sold last month, which is an increase of 5.5 percent. Car sales in Eastern European countries increased by 37.6 percent and amounted to 359.1 thousand units.

In South America, 235.4 thousand cars were sold in November (+5.3 percent). Japan (408.1 thousand units; +8.6 percent), Korea (157.6 thousand; +2.7 percent) and Canada (137.7 thousand; +11.8 percent) are also mentioned among the largest global car markets. ).
