On a beautiful day, the grand final of the Golden Soccer League was held, a tournament that brought together more than 240 soccer players from San Antonio and Cartagena, divided into 12 teams that competed for 8 months.
The Huracán de Tejas Verdes sports club field was the scene of this closing event, which had the collaboration of the Sports Program of the Municipality of San Antonio, which supported the holding of this sporting event that promotes physical activity, integration and the values between the participants.
The awards ceremony was led by Mayor Constanza Lizana Sierra and the person in charge of the Sports Program, Georgelino Osorio Gutierrez, who presented the awards to the outstanding teams and players.
In this regard, the community leader expressed that “we are very happy to see how this league has grown and strengthened, so we applaud the participants who have given everything on the fields during these months.”
In the initiative, the different clubs of seniors get together, enjoy and have fun playing. The objective as such is to provide a space for meeting and sportsmanship, so at the end of the championship all participants were recognized.
Among the notable recognitions were Ramón Vergara and Jaime Kehr, who received the Fair Play award for their fair and respectful play; and Carlos Muñoz, Jaime Solis, Roberto Berrueta and Cesar Lara, who were distinguished for their Sportsmanship, for their positive and supportive attitude on and off the field.
For his part, the coordinator and sports manager of the Sports Program of the Municipality of San Antonio, Georgelino Osorio Gutierrez, pointed out that “we are very happy to support these instances and make it grow, it makes us happy to be able to create this possibility of recreation and practice. of sport”.
The Golden Football League is an initiative that seeks to promote sport as a tool for social and personal development, and that hopes to continue growing and adding more followers in future editions.
