Mamata Banerjee Open to Alliance with Congress and Left Parties in Bengal, Ready for Open Discussion

Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has clarified that an alliance with Congress and Left parties is possible in Bengal. Mamata said that she is ready for an open discussion in this regard. “In Bengal, Trinamool Congress, Left parties and Congress can be allies. I don’t mind if they mean well. They have only two seats in Bengal. “I am ready for an open discussion,” said Mamata Banerjee.

Mamata responded to a question related to the meeting of India Front on December 19 that she hopes that everyone will stand together. “It is believed that we will get an opportunity to discuss the seat allocation issues in detail. I think most of the political parties will be ready to exchange seats. Sometimes one or two parties may not be ready,” Mamata added.

Mamata also said that the question of who will be the prime ministerial candidate of India Front will be decided only after the 2024 elections. Referring to the case against Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra for taking bribes to ask questions in Parliament, Mamata said: “This case is very unfortunate. They were not allowed to defend themselves. When the opposition raises ideas, they are dismissed. If you are in BJP, you will be very good” – Mamata commented.
