The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, presented an electric car from the Turkish brand TOGG to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who in turn presented the Turkish leader with a horse, reports the Turkish state television TRT Haber.

Erdogan is visiting Hungary today, where he already spoke with Hungarian President Katalin Novak, and later met with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Within the framework of the visit, which will continue tomorrow, Erdogan will participate in a meeting of the Hungarian-Turkish Council for Strategic Cooperation and will mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, BTA reported.

During the visit, it is expected that 16 agreements will be signed in the fields of economy, trade, defense, energy and culture. During his contacts with the Hungarian officials, the Turkish president will discuss political, cultural, diplomatic and economic aspects of the bilateral relations, according to the private television channel CNN-Turk.

Erdogan’s meeting with his Hungarian counterpart took place behind closed doors. After this conversation, Erdoğan headed to the Carmelita Monastery for the sixth meeting of the bilateral strategic cooperation council. There he was met by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, to whom the Turkish leader presented a black TOGG electric car with the registration number “HU TR-100” in honor of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Hungarian Prime Minister returned the gesture by presenting Erdogan with a thoroughbred Hungarian horse.
