Aija Strazdiņa-Ratinska, her husband, and Spain- the curveball that turned their summer vacation.

If other couples go to warm countries to rest, Aija and her husband Stanislav spent the summer in Spain – working. Aija worked diligently at the channel “STV First!” relationship show How to love with the head, but Stanislav was the assistant of the project manager. The wife’s subordinate, so to speak.

“Stanislav worked hard, was a great helper. He had no options – I told him that he had to go to Spain for a month and that I would have to help,” laughs Aija in a conversation with “Kas Jauns” magazine, adding with sweet humor: “This time I didn’t take my work home with me, but I took my husband with me to work. And it turned out that he is useful not only in home life, but also in my work. Very versatile, complete package! He really liked to be involved in the creation of TV shows, he was good at interviewing people. Now I’m waiting for Stanislav to offer me a job in his metalworking company after the change.”

There was no rest in Spain, work all the time, – emphasizes Aija Strazdiņa-Ratinska, saying that one of the operators of the show even giggled about this peculiar situation – being with her husband in Spain, being busy at work, jokingly asking Stanislav – how does it feel to be in warm countries with his wife, but not seeing his wife anyway, because she works all the time? “In general, I spent this whole summer and autumn working. It’s just that several projects coincided at the same time, so it was just work, work, work… We hadn’t rested since June, we hadn’t had a single day off for five months, and this was our first evening of rest together. This was the first time since the spring that we have left the house together for a social event,” admits Aija Strazdiņa-Ratinska, met at the 30th anniversary party of “Radio Skonto”.
