Mumbai: A young actress who filed a harassment complaint has made serious allegations against Sajjan Jindal (64), the chairman and managing director of JSW, a large industrial firm. According to the actress, he started behaving more freely and it was disturbing and he often grabbed her without permission. It is also stated in the complaint that he was threatened with serious consequences if he filed a complaint with the police.
The Mumbai police registered a case last day on a complaint filed by a young actress alleging that Sajjan Jindal had molested her. She was allegedly raped in January 2022 in a penthouse above the company’s head office in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla complex. After filing a complaint in February this year, the woman approached the Bombay High Court after the police did not take any action. The case was taken as per the instructions of the court.
In the complaint, the woman says that she met Sajjan Jindal for the first time in the VIP gallery of the stadium during the IPL match in Dubai in 2021. Later, he was seen at the wedding of NCP leader Praful Patel’s son. The actress says that he then came to establish friendship and expressed his interest in buying the building through the real estate company run by his brother in Dubai. After exchanging the mobile number, the meeting became regular.
The actress alleged that he started behaving with more freedom which caused discomfort and often touched her without permission. He explained his problems with his wife and pretended to be in love with her. Meanwhile, in January last year, when he went for a meeting at the JSW headquarters, he was taken to the penthouse and was tortured. After that the behavior changed. According to the complaint, he tried to maintain a distance but blocked the phone number and threatened to face serious consequences if she lodged a complaint with the police.
