The electric vehicle Zeekr 007 will get a self-designed battery that will provide super-fast charging.
The Chinese conglomerate Geely Holding Group was known until now as a company that bought up European manufacturers, acquiring such well-known brands as Volvo, Polestar, Smart and Lotus. But not only that, Geely has quite a strong team of specialists capable of developing its own products, such as traction batteries, which will ensure independence from large suppliers such as CATL.
The latest contribution of this technology team is the super-fast charging battery that will be available in the Zeekr 007 model, an electric sedan that will launch on the Chinese market in January 2024. Depending on the version, it will cost 224,900 – 334,900 yuan (31,680 – 47,180 US dollars) and will surprise you with ultra-fast charging – Zeekr 007 will need 15 minutes to continue the journey for 500 kilometers, but only Zeekr can do it ultra-fast at charging stations.
The Zeekr 001, an electric Shooting Brake model, is also known to be offered in Europe. Here it competes with the Porsche Taycan and Tesla Model S, but costs almost half as much.
