EX Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Nila F Moeloek highlighted the various health challenges faced by Aceh Province, especially regarding the maternal mortality rate which is still high, stunting and life expectancy which is still below the national figure.

This was revealed at the Regional Health Working Meeting (Rakerkesda) at the Hermes Palace Hotel, Banda Aceh on March 4 2019.

Nila F Moeloek said that Indonesia’s life expectancy is already 71.5 percent.

However, for Aceh Province, the figure is still worrying because it is below the national figure, namely 67.8 percent.

This Rakerkesda carries the theme of Collaboration between the Aceh Government, Central Government and District/City Governments in Strengthening Health Services Towards a Prosperous Aceh.

The Acting Governor, who at that time was Nova Iriansyah, said that the JKA Plus program was his party’s determination to provide access to quality and massive health services to the community.

The development of an integrated health system in Aceh is a progressive step that will not only provide significant benefits for health workers, but also positively influence public health services as a whole.

Health information system integration can create an efficient environment, minimize overlap in medication administration, and reduce the administrative burden for patients.

By implementing an integrated health system in Aceh, it will be possible to increase the efficiency of health services. Integrated health information systems in Aceh will create a framework where patient data can be accessed by all related health workers.

Thus, the process of diagnosis and drug administration can be carried out more quickly and efficiently, avoiding loss of information and overlaps in drug prescriptions.

With an integrated system, a patient receiving treatment at more than one health facility can have current and accurate medical records.

This will prevent overlap in drug administration and reduce the risk of side effects that may arise due to lack of coordination.

Reducing the administrative burden on patients by integrating health data electronically will help reduce the administrative burden on patients.
