Presidential candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto, discussing the opportunity for Indonesia to become the 5th richest country in the world. He said a name Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) has the chance to become a leader when discussing opportunities for Indonesia’s progress.
Prabowo initially said that Indonesia had not succeeded in evenly distributing the country’s wealth. According to him, not all people enjoy the country’s wealth.
“Brothers and sisters, all the experts in the world have seen that Indonesia is now the 16th richest economy in the world. The 16th economy, but don’t be quick to applaud, 16th but we have not succeeded in achieving equality so that all people enjoy that wealth ,” said Prabowo, starting his speech at the ‘Gema PS’ volunteer event in Blitar, East Java, Sunday (17/12/2023).
However, he said, it is predicted that Indonesia will enter the 5 richest countries soon.
“But soon we will increase from 16 to the 10th country. And soon they predict that we will become the 5th or even the 4th richest country in the world, brothers and sisters,” he said.
Prabowo then envisioned an Indonesian leader for many years to come. He mentioned the names of Gibran and AHY who would replace him as RI leaders in the future.
“Maybe I didn’t know at that time who would lead the republic? Would it be Mas Gibran or Mas AHY? These are the candidates we are preparing to replace me, to replace the generation we are now preparing, great leaders to lead Indonesia in the future will come,” he said.
