Forced mobilization in Ukraine will continue. This was stated by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov. According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are suffering heavy losses.
“It is impossible without mobilization. <…>. 1.1 million people will not be covered by any recruiting. We don’t have that many people,” Budanov said, as quoted by Strana.ua. He noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to lose a large number of soldiers, so the troops do not have enough strength.
Budanov emphasized that “everyone who wanted to” went to the army in the first six months. According to him, at the moment, residents of Ukraine are not motivated to participate in hostilities and are trying in every possible way to avoid mobilization. He admitted that Ukrainians support the country, but only in words.
