Hartmannsdorf. Christmas is in just over a week. In Hartmannsdorf there are some musical greetings in the community calendar during Advent and festivals. This Sunday, December 17th, for example, the trombone choir’s festive Christmas concert will take place in Mühlau. It starts at 5 p.m., and from 3:30 p.m. there will also be a church coffee in the Albert Schweitzer Hall.
Nativity play on Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve, December 24th, Christmas Vespers with a nativity play by the children in Hartmannsdorf is on the calendar from 3 p.m. Afterwards, music lovers can look forward to the sound of the trombone choir. From 5 p.m., the Young Community of Mühlau will show its nativity play. The Christmas mass of the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Hartmannsdorf will be held there from 10 p.m. Also on December 24th, a Christmas Eve service with a nativity play will be organized at the Azurit Senior Center at 3:30 p.m.
Program on Christmas Day
On December 25th, the traditional tower blowing of the trombone choir will take place in the Ev. Hartmannsdorf Church. The service begins at 10 a.m. with Holy Communion in the Hartmannsdorf parish. On Boxing Day the service begins at 10 a.m. in Mühlau.
Library closed from December 22nd to January
Further information: The community library will be closed from December 22nd to January. From Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024, the team wants to welcome the citizens of Hartmannsdorf into the new year with new books.
Opening hours of the materials yard
The recycling centers in the Central Saxony district will also remain closed over the Christmas holidays and New Year’s Day. Between the Christmas holidays and New Year’s Eve, the recycling centers are open during the usual opening times. From December 27th to February 10th, decorated Christmas trees, in normal household quantities, can be handed in free of charge to the district’s recycling centers.
