The NOS has published a list of the twenty greatest Dutch football talents under the age of 20. The broadcaster compiles the list with the help of several experts from youth football. Feyenoord is also represented here.
Four Feyenoord players have been included in the list for the 2023 edition. These are Ayoub Ouarghi, Antoni Milambo, Gjivai Zechiel and Shaqueel van Persie. The NOS provides a brief explanation for each player that substantiates the selection.
Ayoub Ouarghi (Feyenoord, 15 years old)
Followers of Soufiane Touzani’s YouTube channel have known him for a while. Ayoub ‘the Monster’ Ouarghi. A versatile midfielder. Very strong, fiery shot, sublime technique and great dribbling. An attraction, this Amsterdammer in Rotterdam service. On Wednesday, at the age of 15, he was in the starting line-up for Feyenoord against Celtic in the Youth League. In May he signed his first professional contract. Touzani was there.
Antoni Milambo (Feyenoord, 18 years)
His first Premier League goal, his first starting spot and his debut in the Champions League. Things are going in the right direction for the powerful attacking midfielder at Feyenoord. Against Atlético Madrid, Antoni Milambo surprised with a genuine ‘Cruyff Turn’. Antoine Griezmann had it wrong.
Gjivai Zekiel (19 years old, Feyenoord)
Gjivai Zechiël showed tears of happiness after his debut against Almere City. It meant that much to him. All the doubts of the past years came out. “Am I good enough?” the midfielder often asked himself. Good enough for De Kuip.
Shaqueel van Persie (Feyenoord, 17 years old)
We started with the son of and we end with the son of. Shaqueel van Persie was by no means considered a top talent. A late bloomer. Last season, the striker’s development accelerated. Due to an injury, that upward trend came to a halt, but Van Persie is back. Don’t compare him to his father just yet. He certainly couldn’t wish for a better coach at Feyenoord under 18. Who? Robin van Persie.

The list, drawn up in random order, is completed with Ruben van Bommel (AZ), Silvano Vos (Ajax), Tygo Land (PSV), Philip Brittijn (De Graafschap), Amourricho van Axel Dongen (Ajax), Kees Smit (AZ) , Isaac Babadi (PSV), Wouter Goes (AZ), Gabriel Misehouy (Ajax), Wessel Kuhn (PSV), Rome Jayden Owusu-Oduro (AZ), Dean Huijsen (Juventus), Jorrel Hato (Ajax), Jason van Duiven ( PSV), Jayden Addai (AZ) and Stijn Bultman (Heracles).
